Help build a Masjid for Sinchu Batchi

The current Masjid is in poor condition and too small to accommodate the community, particularly during Jumu'ah prayers and other Islamic gatherings.

After discussions with the community, the construction of a new and larger Masjid was identified as their greatest priority.

The community is ready to contribute.

The people of Sinchu Batchi have committed to providing sand and gravel available within the village, as well as contributing their own labour towards the project.

They are not simply asking others to build for them. They are willing to contribute what they can. Now, they need our support to turn this vision into reality.

Our fundraising target: GMD 600,000

We are appealing to brothers and sisters, families, friends, organizations and well-wishers around the world to help us reach this target.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:

“Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise.”

Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim

Supporting this project is therefore an opportunity to contribute towards a Sadaqah Jariyah — a lasting act of charity whose benefits can continue through the worship, learning and community activities that take place in the Masjid.

Every contribution matters.

Whether you give D5, D20, D50, D100 or more, your contribution can bring us one step closer to our goal.

And if you are unable to donate, sharing this campaign with your family, friends, colleagues and community can also make a difference.

How the funds will be used

Funds raised through this campaign will be transferred to Brighter Days Foundation in The Gambia and used specifically towards the construction of the new Masjid in Sinchu Batchi.

The Foundation will maintain records of funds received and project expenditure and will provide updates to supporters as the project progresses.

Who is organizing this fundraiser?

This GoFundMe campaign is being organized in the United Kingdom by a member of Brighter Days Foundation, on behalf of the Foundation's Sinchu Batchi Masjid Project.

Brighter Days Foundation is a community-focused organization committed to supporting communities and contributing to initiatives that improve the lives of people in The Gambia.

We humbly ask you to stand with the people of Sinchu Batchi.
