But sometimes, no matter how hard we try, life brings us to a point where we have to reach out and say: please, help us.Recently, the heavy rains caused severe damage to two rooms in our family compound. The damage has made the rooms unusable, and the tenants who were renting them have had to leave.For my mother, these two rooms were much more than part of a house. They were her source of monthly rental income and an important means of supporting herself. Now that the tenants have left, that income has stopped completely.Our family has already been facing tremendous hardship since my father passed away last year. My mother is getting old, and the responsibilities on our family have become increasingly difficult.There are five of us in the family: my mother, my elder sister and her daughter, my elder brother who is mentally unstable, and myself.I am a civil servant, and I work hard to support my family. But I am also struggling financially because I have a loan deducted from my salary every month.
